Hi, Everytime I run Xonotic 0.6 either 32bit or 64bit version, game freezes.
Even windows is not responding to CTRL-ALT-DEL, ALT-F4.
Need to do a sys restart by pressing button on front of my pc.

My specs:
ASRock 770 Extreme3
QuadCore AMD Phenom II X4 Black Edition 955, 3200 MHz (16 x 200)
GoodRAM 2 x 2 GB DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 768 MB VRAM (nVidia drv 296.10)

I think that with different weapon model, sounds, ammos and game speed we can obtain a Unreal Xonotic I. Who's with me? I mean, to cooperate to create such stand-alone mod.

What would be the point in that? I mean - if you want UT, then just go play UT, it's really cheap currently, there's no point in making a direct clone of it. Otherwise just contribute to the main Xonotic game - it's not yet finished and it needs new models, maps, etc content. If you can create that, then you will be very welcome in the community. Peace ;-).

I find using SDL usually fixes any sound issues. Also make sure that if you have multiple sound cards you have the one you want selected as the default one in pulseaudio and kde settings (if you use those).

Let's first answer the which to run question: SDL and GLX (for linux) are different sublayers that talk to stuff like your graphics card, your keyboard and mouse. We supply both of them, as it varies a lot on different hardware which performs better and in some occasions either one will have bugs. We generally recommend SDL these days, but if you get poor performance or input issues - try GLX.

Your sound issues can be related to the same thing. But generally sound in linux is a touchy subject, and I cannot give you an easy fix. If you use pulseaudio, try getting rid of it and just using ALSA.

Also, why does it always say "Not Installed" in my Desura game list?
