Star-Twine is an abstract real-time strategy game in which you control a point of light created by a dying star. Battles unfold on sprawling three-dimensional maps as you collect energy and build structures to attack your opponent. Chill out to the atmospheric visuals and soundtrack as you plan your next move.

Star-Twine includes a single player campaign, skirmish mode, and multiplayer (online or LAN).

Star-Twine is a game of positioning and timing. Energy Nodes are used to collect resources, Turrets fire at the enemy, Black Holes absorb nearby projectiles, Sentinels stake out territory and Missile Launchers deal massive damage to an area. Through building these simple structures, many different strategies emerge.

Downloaded Star Twine..........................installed fine, but will not start up.  I am trying to run the game on a 2.4Ghz 2GB laptop with Vista Ultimate (fully updated) and an Intel GMA 4500 graphics chip.

Sorry for the delay in responding.

Could you check and see if there is a crash log in     C:/Users/yourname/AppData/Star-Twine/  and post its contents if it's there?

Also, if you could post the output of dxdiag.exe that would help. ( Click the Start button, typingdxdiag in the Search box, and then pressing ENTER. )

Thanks!

Hi Macrixen, this seems to be a problem with the XNA framework that people have had with other games as well.

Try changing your default audio device in Vista, and make sure that it is something that is plugged in. You can do this by right clicking the volume icon on the taskbar > Playback Devices, and right clicking something like "Digital Audio Interface" to set as the default instead of "Speakers". Let me know if this works.
