Same here. My ears perked up with a heard hybrid of action, RPG and empire creation...then I heard MMO and I immediately lost interest.

I have played this game for three and a half years, happily gave them my money, and do not regret any of it.
This is the only game I have ever played that has had the power to change my life. I think that says something about this game
SS1 was such an immensely fun waste of time, I hope the second is just as good. Bad thing is mods like to hand out bans like candy...
