Hello Valamelkor thanks for posting this ill look into solving this issue right away.
Hey Valamelkor i found the problem its with the loading of the options data im looking further into solving it now thanks for the information you posted it helped find the problem very quickly
No problem, SpaceBitDev. Is there any conventional place for posting reports? I've left one on official forum, but it looks like noone look there.
Also, I think there should be some log file for such cases. You can use log4net or Common.Logging for example
I have started working on a log file just today it should return information about Spacebit im hoping maybe it will be ready the next update after tonight's update. I will check out log4net and Common.Logging for some ideas and such id rather write my own for more control though, The spacebit official forum is pretty quiet hopefully we can get some more members signing up we recently moved the old forum to the current forum.
The forum is the best place to post these i check the forum as often as possible ill continue updating you with any further information about this problem you are having on the forum but i did fix it just then i believe im uploading a new version of Spacebit right now it should be ready for you to check in an hour or 2.
May be I've just overlooked something, but no changes on desura files and error stil persists
the new version isent out yet it should be soon though waiting on Desura to accept the update.
if you want to try and resolve the issue before the update you can try go to Spacebit Directory go to Content/Files/Game/settings.txt the 2 numbers at the bottom of the text file change them both to 0 let me know if this works
By setting 2 last numbers to 0 I was able to start the game. However, I've bumbed into another crash with the exception bellow. I've just started a new game (new character, test map)
I think it can be related to local settings. For example we use do sign as mantissa separation symbol
Great. Thank you.
Btw, I think inventing the bicycle in the field of .NET logging is not in option, IMHO :)
