Uh, I don't know if I'm just missing something, but is the game currently just a tech demo? The screenshots, video, and patches seem to indicate that the game is playable, but I seem to be stuck with a single map and build that has none of that. I completely understand that this is in alpha, and I don't mind the purchase since I love to support indie developers whenever I can, but it kinda feels disappointing.
There should be multiple maps, as there is a way to make your own! Also check the spacebit forums at Forum.spacebitz.com where you can find a map made by a fan! Please, if you make any, be sure to share :) !
Mine came with one map, that isn't playable in the slightest. I'd also just like to make a mention that you are selling the game (alpha or not) with the impression that there is a playable map right "out of the box"(indievania also says randomly generated too I might add). Telling your consumer that they have to be the level designer after the fact seems like a pretty poor design decision to me, and I really hope that isn't what the final product is going to be like.
Is there some place I can d/l maps? I seem to have deleted the couple I had and SB crashes on startup now. .
there is 2 maps on the forum made by the community or you could re-install to reset the old maps here is 1 of the maps on the forum Forum.spacebitz.com
I have been thinking of ways to improve the feedback and support when playing Spacebit. We have had in the past some issues with people running Spacebit normally when this happened the game will crash and the user will be left confused, This has been changed there is a logging file which saves data each run of Spacebit, there is also a message when ever a crash has occurred and you are given the option to send a email to support with data about the crash, You wont need to ask anyone for assistance unless you want to it will all be done automatically and i think this new way of handling problems will make the user feel more comfortable rather then having to send us emails themselves about the issue.

The sale on Desura has ended. Desura is currently back at $9.99 it was selling at $7.50 for nearly half a year, But there is still a sale at Indievania.com for only $5.99 but it wont be on sale for long :)
i am preparing the new version to be released on Desura and the Updater hopefully today i am just fixing a couple small things then it should be ready.
I could translate everything into german if you if you like. By the way: great game !
the new version 0.8.0 is out on Desura and the Updater and i am working on fixing bugs i found plus some extra improvements to GUI for 0.8.1 which i hope to upload soon also
