The download over desura is sadly not the fastest - you could install the normal client and binding the game afterwards to desura but i dont know if the updateing process works then.

Even back when I had a dual core computer I had problems with this game taking a long time to load and some times it lagged. Have you considered making a version with low resolution textures or significantly lower poly count so that it can appeal to those of us without high end PCs?

I actually just sold my computer before all these new updates started coming out.

There is a possibilitiy ingame to reduce the graphic-details and shaders etc- so it should have run decently on your PC. Be asured - we will still be here when you get another PC one day ;)

I've got a copy of the original Savage and loved the game. Particularly since it too was Linux compatible. Unfortunately I could never get any of my friends to join me :(
