console.log was empty, so I uploaded crash_2.1.0.1_02.log:
pastebin.de/22300

It's a really old PC, Pentium4, 1GB RAM, ATI Radeon 9600, Xubuntu Oneiric

I could try it later on my Netbook, Athlon II Neo X2, 2GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225, Fedora 16

And what is (in my opinion) really strange: Yesterday , there was Debian installed (which I replaced because it was extremely slow, I don't know why), and it worked! Ok, 0.25 FPS, but it worked!

Sounds like a driver problem to me.

But why did it work on Debian?

Let's discuss this in the forum, we don't want to spam the comments...

Sorry I forgot the game path in libpath:

If you are having problems running with linux, try the following:

Right click on Savage 2 in desura -> properties and add: LD_LIBRARY_PATH=".":" ./game"$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
to the user launch options.

It is a library issue that can also be corrected by moving the .so files to the libs directory.

(from the forums, can we make this sticky?)

I tried it. It doesn't help.

OpenGL runs just fine, I also have 3D rendering (with the radeon driver).

Would be best so that the newest updates will work correctly.

Check the Forum section. You may have to an additional run parameter for the linux distributions.
