A word of warning to new players - do NOT skip any gumballs in the early levels. And even if by late game you are 10+ gumballs ahead of the number required to finish a level, still try to get any that you possibly can. You'll need all the "slack" you can get later on.

If I had gotten to the last level with just 1 less gumball, I probably would've had to restart to stand a chance of beating it.

I'm not sure I like this idea since it does not warn you this is what the game will be like, and punishes players in late game for very early mistakes. It would be nice if you could revisit earlier levels to collect any missed gumballs without losing your progress...

Other than that, pretty cool game :)

EDIT: Do you know that in windowed mode the window title says Rexzilla 1.00, even though in the title/menu screen, it says 1.1? Kinda confusing.

Thanks for your message, and sorry for the late reply!

All of the exits are calibrated so that you will never get 'stuck' (i.e. there are always enough gumballs in each level to ensure that you can open the exit, even if you've only collected the bare minimum up to that point).

However, as you pointed out, the last world will require you to get every gumball in every of its levels if you've gotten by on the skin of your teeth to that point.

The game doesn't warn you - as you pointed out, it probably should! - but the instruction manual sort of does (though I'm aware few if any have read it). -_-;

Also, the window version setting was not possible to edit - an oversight of the engine I used that apparently never got addressed by the publisher. The version number on the title screen and the changelog file are correct.

Huh, just noticed the Level Select - was that always there, or did it just appear since I beat the game?

Yep, the level select option appears after you complete the game. Using it, though, will set your total gumballs to the minimum required up to that level.

Also, I got the "Standard" ending. Anyone have a video of the non-Standard one? I assume I'd have to collect every gumball to get it, or at least every gold one, and that ain't happening.

You're right, the Special ending is available if you get all the gumballs (including all the gold ones, which means you can't use the warp zones either).

Haha! Yeah, I loved gumballs when I was a kid!
And most of my babysitters were nice, too, but I secretly wondered if some of them were just after my sweet sweet gumball collection... Or something.
