amazing!
Those animations on the pistol are really awkward and lifeless. The transition between movement is too robotic and looks like a distraction. A few more keyframes and attention to timing would really help.
indeed, I was quite disappointed by how the reload looks, specially when I added some extra action on the pistol like the wheel on each side.
the problem is that the pistol reload last only 1 sec. while it's never less than 3 on other game.
At this speed, there's not much I can do, but i planed to add a variation when it goes back to shoot position, to make it looks more natural.
I updated the video to something with default FOV setting and game speed
i agree, the shoot animation is crap (the animations are crap with most other weapons anyway)
animation looks a bit weird, the clip is sliding trough the grip, etc.
Also, how can a pistol shot bullets while only getting to shells out o the chamber?
This will be fixed, however keep in mind that the animation is slowed by 5 in the video (was sure there will be comment on the reload, as it looks bad when it's so slowed, and default can't be seen at real speed)
Real speed goes already so fast that it looks a bit odd, making it more complex will looks really wierd.
That is one sweet-looking pistol :D
wait how do you model for this game( or cube based games)? what format or resources do i need to get started?
You can use md5 or iqm for animated models on cube engine. I used blender, with a md5 exporter.
the reloading animation looks like the animation of half life 1 pistol
