Set in a mysterious and abstract sterile environment, Q.U.B.E. (Quick Understanding of Block Extrusion) is a first-person puzzle game that challenges players to navigate each level by manipulating coloured cubes that surround them. There's little to go on as the game begins - the player is dropped into an all-white room with few instructions, and simply has to figure their way out. The tone of game changes as the player finds small and big alterations to their environment, supported by an original score, inviting each player to let their imagination take over as to where they might be. Through experimentation and discovery, players will progress through an ever-evolving series of cube puzzles that will challenge them with logic, physics, platforming.

Great for the apple, now let's go for the penguin! I'm so impatient to play. ^^
Bought it three days ago and had the chance to play it today. Finished it in an afternoon. LOVED it but it was too short. Will you make QUBE 2? How about a level editor?
Glad to hear you enjoyed the game! We're certainly talking about QUBE 2 :) We've discussed a level editor but aren't looking into that right now. If you have an iOS device we're bringing out a new version of QUBE for that.
Also, voted for Indie of the year ;)
Thanks! :)
Will it be compatible with iPod Touch 4? Aren't controls on a touch screen hard for a game that needs precision and timing?
Yeah it will be compatible with iPod Touch 4. We've changed the game for iOS, making it much more casual, where you slide cubes to move them :)
"For those PS3 gamers out there, we currently have a dedicated porting house working on a version of QUBE for PSN. This will likely launch Q1 or Q2 in 2013. We'll be delivering more updates as we know more."
HELL YEAH!
waited for this to be released on steam, and after I got it, I was really quite disapointed.
I was expecting a puzzle game on par with Swipe or Portal. This game is a lot more like an interactive movie, where you have to keep pushing the button to make it play forward.
After about the first 10 rooms there is nothing to really learn any more. Everything is all about the same thing over and over again. I know portal is like this too, but for some reason I was pushed to improvise with Portal... This game the levels are not looked at as a challenge, i was loooking at the rooms more like a chore.
After winning an area there is little to no reward as far as visuals are concerned... Not so much as even a handfull of confetty thrown at you.
I would like to see something get built, or destroyed, or some loud noise to let me know I did something right... insted i am just rewarded with a new chore.
i give this one a 4/10, the visuals where interesting, and it had its own surreal "look" to it... But as far as the gameplay, and the rewards for "winning" where really sub-par.
Hope this team makes something in the future... It would be nice to see a remake of this game, with a little more graphics flayer... The UDK can push a lot of polies around... A room made from beveled cubes is cool for about the first 5 minuets... they need some sort of creatures... even bugs scurring about to break up things.
If i where to buy it again, in another life, I dont think I would pay over $5 for it. That is about as much as a saturday matanee at the movies cost for 2 hours of entertain ment... I only got about an hour out of it before I was board out of my mind.
Thanks for the feedback, it's a shame that you didn't enjoy the game. We're taking on player's feedback for future projects and will definitely look at making our next game much more exciting!
