Nice game, but badly wounded by bad controls. Why don't you just let player to change gravity by mouse-click?
Because engine has locked camera to z-axis and I created whole new system for rotations and this is only way how rotations will work properly. I just cannot do rotations relative to player sight because rotations are changed each time they are used. But I will try to do alternative control system.
I see. Well, what about something like "mouse gestures"? Or if that's too complicated, at least you could let players change controls - I, for example, have mouse with ideal seven buttons... Next tweak that could be done is different colors for each axis. You know, as I see it, the game should be about orientation and finding path, but main obstacle is "to learn playing piano". No offense, I'm just trying to give you some feedback.
I am working now on some different control system. Will see if it would work.
Horrible steering - completely non-intuitive and not clear even help. Menu must be changed to be more user-friendly too. Best wishes and good luck to the Author! :)
Controls are changed , available from 0.3.4. Menu looks fine to me.
With people who have been discussing the gravity direction and axis rotation issue - If this does get ported (when the engine is) to PSP / NDS ? It would work fatastically with touch interfaces.
The one on the back of the PSP-Vita springs to mind first :) - Would be an awesome PSMini Game!
From what I read engine is planning to support iOS and Android first.
Very interesting concept. I played the demo for a bit and felt it lacked a background. It's a nice looking game, but I think it should have some sort of surreal, abstract background to it.
I tried some backgrounds but it doesn't look good with rotations. Maybe I will add some models instead of static images. Game is in alpha so there is still time to do something about it :)
