Out There is a hard sci-fi space exploration game blending roguelike, resource management and gamebook mechanics.
You are an astronaut awaking from cryonics not in the solar system, but... out there... in a far and unknown place of the galaxy. In Out There, you will have to survive, tinkering your ship with what you can gather drifting in the void, and spot garden planets to refill your oxygen supply.
Space is an hostile place ; dangerous and mysterious adventures will mark each step of your travel. You will not only meet intelligent species that won’t care about you, but also deal with ancient powers linked to your destiny and the fate of mankind itself. Survival and understanding of what is really at stake in the galaxy is the core of what Out There has to offer.

It does say "Includes Steam" to the right. While this doesn't really say "requires", it's a very good indicator that there is Steam DRM involved.

If this requires Steam to play that SHOULD be listed prominently, because that is a game-breaker for me; NO STEAM games.

... And a third complaint: Out There has not yet been released, and again this isn't mentioned on the Desura profile page of Out There.
Great job, Desura!

And even worse (in my mind): You can't play the game in Desura - it's a Steam game, and that's not mentioned anywhere. If I wanted to play a game in Steam, I would go therte directly, and not bother to go to Desura first (definitely not for a couple of cents). A nice way to make customers happy!

The Euro price stated as €8.99 is misleading: You get charged $9.69, which at the current exchange rate is more than €9.
Not much difference, but Desura should not state a Euro price, and then charge you in Dollars (regardless of variable exchange rates).

I just had a similar experience at ninjatune. (Except in reverse. I selected to see prices in US Dollars and they actually deal in the Britsh Pound.)

I'm not too bent out of shape though, really. I'd rather they show a rough estimate of the price in a currency I use than make me have to do it myself. I'd certain rather avoid region based pricing.
