Omegalodon is a third-person multiplayer action game where players compete by attacking/defending the city. The Red Team is comprised of police and soldiers armed with an array of military vehicles and explosive weaponry. The Green Team is comprised of Omegalodon, a 100-foot shark monster, and the Enviros, equipped with a healing beam. The game plays like a backward tower-defense game, but with free-roaming capability and fast-paced, realtime action.
Omegalodon's objective is a nuclear containment dome at the city center. The round will end if it is destroyed, the timer reaches zero, or if Omegalodon dies.
Features:
- Fully destructible environments
- Dozens of drivable vehicles including helicopters, cargo ships, and jets
- 30-minute round-based multiplayer
- Dozens of simultaneous players
- Story elements will full voice acting
- Nine square miles of open world, spanning islands and cityscapes
- A colorful, retro aesthetic

MUST PLAY GAME IS SO COOOOOL
this game is a lot of fun, can't wait to see what's added!
dedicated servers is really great news.
is there a way to fight back against the jets?
jets dropping bombs seems to really destroy me as a ground troop.
Steal a jet at the airport and chase them down!
The next patch, 1.4, will feature a dedicated server option. This may take a little while to release as version 1.3.1 of the game is currently being submitted to other platforms and I do not wish to create a version conflict during the approval and testing process.
just had a ton of fun playing against 11 others...I can't wait to do that again! More people were around, made it way more challenging but fun!
I think the multiplayer needs some bots to fill out missing players. There at least needs to be a CPU controlled Omegalodon. Some more vehicles would be nice. Like APCs or rocket artillery. Some more modes would be great too. Like capture the flag or destroy the HQ with one Omegalodon on each side.
Organizing community events at certain times and days could help fill the servers out.
I'd have bought this in a heartbeat if it had a singleplayer mode, even if it was just a sandbox where I could faff around as Omegalodon versus some basic AI. I'm really not a multiplayer kind of guy. This would be amazing if such a feature were included.
It was pretty much the videos of this that got me to sign up for Desura, even. Gave it a try, but...
Shame, really.
Absolutely fantastic.
