How long can you survive the post-apocalyptic wastelands of NEO Scavenger? In the near-future, supernatural activity and human warfare have fragmented mankind into pockets of civilization struggling to survive in wild and dangerous lands. You awaken alone in an abandoned facility with no food nor water, and only a hospital gown and some mysterious items as clues to your identity.

NEO Scavenger is a game where you must survive in the wasteland long enough to figure out who you are. Each turn you must decide where to go, how to scavenge for supplies, and how to deal with anything and anyone you encounter. And with each passing minute, the pit in your stomach grows, your dehydration worsens, your muscles tire, and your body temperature drops in the cold autumn air. Choose your starting abilities carefully, because they and your wit are the only tools you have in the apocalypse!

Hey Folks!

NEO Scavenger's available in its first bundle, Be Mine 5!

If you've been considering buying NEO Scavenger, but weren't sure, this may be the ticket you're looking for. Here's how it works:

  • Spend at least $1, and you get NEO Scavenger, Kings Bounty: The Legend, and X-Blades.
  • Spend at least $5, and additionally get Tropico 3, Stranger's Wrath HD, and 3 graphic novels.
  • 5 indie albums are included, and will be announced Saturday.
  • Unlock more goals when certain sales milestones are reached.

Plus, 20% of all proceeds go to MercyCorps, which uses funding to alleviate suffering, poverty, and oppression by helping people build secure, productive, and just communities. Programs that do things like:

  • provide clean water
  • provide sustainable sources of food
  • combat infectious diseases
  • aid in disaster and conflict recovery
  • build communities safe from oppression and conflict

Sound familiar? As players of NEO Scavenger, you're probably keenly aware at how tenuous life can be without things like clean water, food, medicine, and protection from man and nature. I thought it was cool that some proceeds from this promotion are going to an organization that tries to ensure real people don't have to suffer without these things.

And who knows? Maybe some player somewhere will be inspired to learn more about these issues, and even act on it. I'd be thrilled to have helped spur that kind of social good.

So give it a look! Spread the word! If you know someone who might enjoy anything in the bundle, let them know! You can even gift them a bundle.

And definitely check out MercyCorps to see what they're up to. The pre-apocalyptic world can always use a helping hand :)

Got the bundle earlier today. NEO Scavenger is pretty awesome, but kicks my *** without remorse. I suppose that's how it should be, so I'm looking forward to playing more and figuring out how best to go about doing things. The music in the bundle is pretty awesome as well, glad I picked it up.

Success isn't as sweet unless you have to work hard for it, right? :)

I may have to pick that bundle up too. Some cool games, music, and I'd like to check out Wasteland Vol 1.

The bundle should include a Desura key, along with the downloadable copy.

Just bought the bundle. Tried opening the app, but it comes up with an error each time saying "NEOScavenger can't be opened. You should mote it to the Trash." I'm on a mac btw.

Desura key worked and I got the game that way, but I thought I should tell you that the app provided as a direct download doesn't work.

Hm, there are two Mac users who have reported this, and we're still trying to figure out what causes it. There's a thread where we're collecting info:
Bluebottlegames.com

My last post includes a link to some Gatekeeper info and an alternate launch command which might help. The error message you describe is a lot like the Gatekeeper message for a file it doesn't trust.

Also, I could setup an account for you at bluebottlegames.com, which has a Flash version to use in the meantime. You can email me your info and the key you used to redeem the game, and I'll manually set an account up.
