Mount and Blade is a 3D, open-ended, single-player, third- or first-person, computer role-playing game, created and distributed by the Turkish development house TaleWorlds. Mount and Blade has a medieval setting, without any fantasy elements. Mount and Blade is notable for its emphasis on realistic cavalry combat, which was common in the era, but is largely absent in most RPG titles.
Rule over the land along with many custom ones. Mount & Blade and Desura a perfect combination.

Mount & Blade and Desura, the perfect combination of Indie gaming goodness and one of the most powerful release platforms! Not only can you now purchase Mount & Blade (and his younger brother Warband) over Desura, you can also grab the best user made modifications as well.
While we are starting off small with the original M&B many more mods are sure to follow.
We are always looking for more fantastic mods to support over the service, if you know of a mod or are apart of a mod that you think needs to be on Desura let us know support@desura.com and we will do our best to get it ready, even if we do not support the game the mod is currently for let us know either way.

"Younger" brother warband? Why do you say "Younger"?
Because it's more recent and therefore "Younger". It's a pretty standard turn of phrase.
If we already own Warband on Steam, can we add it as a shortcut to Desura?
Indeed you can, Desura should find it installed on your PC
It shows up on Desura, but it wants me to purchase it from Desura when I try to launch/install it.
I had the same Problem. Click install as Demo, it will than say that there are files. Click Verify and install missing ones. After that it will download DirectX. Then finally you are finished.
Good find, i'll get this resolved for you. M&B is the first game we sell that also supports mods.
I have Star Wars Conquest installed already, but it doesn't detect it. Maybe it has something to do with the folder name?
We actually search for the folder "Star Wars Conquest" in your M&B directory. Is that not where you installed the mod?
Okay thanks, I just have to rename it.
