McDROID is silly sci-fi Arcade-Strategy game inspired by RTYPE and Dune 2 where you pilot a modular robot who crash lands on planet M and saves the planet from corruption.
You can swap your turret on and off to turn your robot into an over-powered farming war battle station or lay some powerful defensive perimeter - it has the cutest cartoony monster graphics so you can die over and over and over and never get tired of seeing these mutants doing weird things.

Loving it so far! First purchase on Desura and couldn't be happier, I'm really looking forward to watching this game get better and better, really want to say good job to you Elefantopia. First game? Pshaw this is much too good to be a first game lol. Anyways keep up the good work! Would love to see more in-depth customization, like body part changes, different body types, more smiley faces. Also I like the upgrade system so far, but it would be nice to have a persistent upgrade system as well, like you get points for completing arenas and can spend those points for +1% speed upgrade, +1% firing speed, +1 damage and so on, nothing huge, but would allow you to get better and better, increasing the desire to go multiplayer. Also I seem to be having trouble communicating with those in my hosted game, I can see their chat, but they can't see mine. Again though, fantastic job, please please please keep going!

Level 9 challenge is done and nightmare is seeing the last touch.
Making an action RTS as first game is mental, but adding scripted events to it is pure nut house material.
But I think it plays fantastic :)

Plays well on linux, but the mouse cursors look weird -- there's a vertical bar to the right of the standard one, the target one isn't transparent, and there are some other minor glitches. It's compiz standalone on Ubuntu 12.10, if it helps, with fglrx drivers.
hop on the forum support and give us more info on that glitch, with screen capture.
