McDROID is silly sci-fi Arcade-Strategy game inspired by RTYPE and Dune 2 where you pilot a modular robot who crash lands on planet M and saves the planet from corruption.
You can swap your turret on and off to turn your robot into an over-powered farming war battle station or lay some powerful defensive perimeter - it has the cutest cartoony monster graphics so you can die over and over and over and never get tired of seeing these mutants doing weird things.

Is anyone else seeing the third mission just... not ending, after beating wave 6 of 6? It sits there indefinitely and never declares victory.
Never mind, figured it out. You have to nuke the barrels for some reason. O.o BURN THE EGG SACS
Cool music, nicely done graphic, not fully clear controlls (at least to me)- fist impression :D
Oh, cool menu screen.
Spent about 5 minutes watching the monsters/strawberries :D
Definately more fun ahead once i "grasp" the controlls :D
Cool ! Glad you like the music, will tell Maurice :)
We'll release a free app with just a vivarium where you can add monsters and see them do stuff because my niece loves them and wanted to touch them :-P
Controls are WASD or arrow keys to move and click on buttons at the bottom or on the power nodes (yellow boxes on the ground). You are used to Dota type click move? It takes a little bit to get used to but once you're comfortable, it's robotic mozart!
Yup.
Controlls sorted out now, earlier i got a little bit confused with "turrets on robot" versus "stationary turrets" and shooting itself.
The vivarium idea seems very cool, might help with publicity as well :)
And in regards to the music- its great and it nicely works together with the overal humour in the game (did i mention i like it as well ? :P )
BTW, the challenges add a ton of gaming time- nice move there, thx :D
Glad you have fun :)
Also good to hear you sorted the controls out. What did you find confusing ? We'll try to make it more accessible for new players.
We're re-writing the story, hope you like the madness of it :-P Oh and there is a web site for the evil mega corp behind all this : www.glacento.com
Well, to be honest, now, after playing a lot more i really don`t know what was my problem. The turrets autoattack- i didn`t notice this at first few times i played the game :)
Not sure now if the first hint in game about the turrets was not clear or i just didn`t read
it properly ;)
I like the story so far, i also love the grinding for upgrades :)
Thx for the glacento page :)
On a side note, do you think that it would be possible (in remote future :P) to make a map editor/let the people make custom maps/campaigns? I`d love that :D
Wow, looks like a pretty game, really like the art style! Keep up the good work :D
Thanks Quillsaga, will do :)
To add to what null says, here is a video that shows you can not only shoot from your robot but also control your nearby turrets, we call it DMC for Direct Module Control - because we love corporate sounding acronyms. Youtube.com
