McDROID is a surreal Action Tower Defense with
- mega frikkin' lasers that talk
- upgradable robots
- Gattling turret
- crop and monsters that mutate
- an economy based on giant strawberries.
- levels hand crafted like they used be.
- Cute cartoony Borderland graphics, but it's hella tough so you may have to co-op with your friends to take down that insane Mutatosaurus.

Imagine the hectic big boss fights of RTYPE combined with the smarts and resource management of Dune 2. That's McDROID, our first game, made in homage of these awesome classics.
It's original, with gorgeous cell shaded graphics, boasts 100 enemies on screen at once, the most badass weapons (linking teslas, wave canons, bot factories...) and unusually challenging enemies.
It's a tough game, not for the faint of heart and it's got co-op multiplayer.

The great thing about Steam is the very active crowd of gamers, lots of great comments. Some even made us rethink one weapon, those who like lasers will be happy.
I cut a new trailer, it's now much shorter and uses new footage. so check it out

About development: We worked on level 9, demo and infrastructure.
Level 9 is ambitious so it takes more time but those who like end-battle bosses will enjoy that one.
Demo is cool, everyone can download it and learn the basics of McDROID control and life on planet M.

Beta 8 is out, it should be online now. Some important changes we had to do in order to support some cool stuff. It has a nice new behavior for the laser, it now focuses as you hit the same target, which causes more damage with time. This turns the laser into the best weapon when dealing with very strong enemies (and you'll start seeing bosses soon). Changes the title into something fun, like a drunken Transformer. Some exploits were removed and a fairer score calculation put in place. Also tons of bug fixes and look and feel tweaks : you can now sprinkle mines.

So enjoy the new release, pledge support to your droid on Steamcommunity.com and see you next week.

Hah, i seriously doubt i can enjoy this even more ;) There is a limit even to enjoyment, McDroid already passed that line for me :D

Kudos for a great game, updates and for hearing out your playerbase.

I hope the GL will be a huge success so that we get more players for the coop :) Good luck!
