I Shall Remain (ISR) makes you responsible for the life of one US Marine who has awoken in a Zombie infested world. Its up to you to lead him on a path that will allow him to survive, fight back and become a leader of men. ISR has superb artwork, music and storytelling that is reflective of the high quality standard that its creators live for. Its creators have challenged themselves to leave a lasting impression on the independent gaming industry with a serious, entertaining and cost-effective game dedicated to a group of young people who created a culture. ISR will be released in episodes. Each episode of the game will build on previously installed content and will have new features, content and will tell a new part of the game story. The game's prologue will be released in January 2011 for free and will include a tutorial so players can have a running start when the first game episode is released.

seems like a cool game and concept but this is the least optimized program i have ever came across in my life. literally 30 seconds in and i quit (I tried changing my settings before i quit so don't even go there) the game seems fun but I'll never have patience to play through a slideshow.

Thanks to the success brought about by the Desura community I've been able to have some incredible experiences and meet great people.
Here is the link to my interview in Hollywood where little old me was able to hang out with the stars and talk about ISR, Desura and my team... again, all because of our fans who've come to support us here on Desura.

If you have those funky glasses you can watch it in 3D!
Players! I have a survey running up on our facebook page I want you to answer. Facebook.com
What is the most important trait a leader or supervisor should have? 'Like' the answer that you think is best, or add your own.
Currently, "The man or woman who is in charge of me must be humble." is winning.
I have seen quite a few WWII era firearms but in such a situation as this have you thought to say earlier weaponry? Bows, crossbows, and slingshots are all very primitive but they don't require a gunsmith either.
Speaking of gunsmiths... Such a man or a woman would be a person of great worth. Perhaps a quest to rescue/recruit one would be in order.
Which brings me to a question. Obviously the first few episodes would be hand to mouth survival, but as your infant group grows larger issues should come available. Maybe you'll need to plan out such missions as to capture and hold a farm, re-establish a simple factory, diplomacy between other survivor groups, and ultimately establishment of a network of larger safe zones. So what are your plans along those lines?
Hey Faith! Wow it's really cool to see you on here again! It means a lot to us that you've been following us all this time!
The weapons in the game as of now are WWI to the end of WWII plus various melee weapons. I think your idea with the medieval weaponry is fantastic. I'd love to slay a zombie with a javelin!
For now the map will have lots of that WWII weaponry, the game takes place immediately after WWII before there was a chance to melt all the tools of war down to make automobiles. A horrible virus came with a group of immigrants through Ellis island. That's all the survivors know at this time.
We're taking a different approach at the moment with the story. You play as Captain Hodges in the Prologue and you rescue a Marine that has been severely wounded. Hodges now takes him to a safe haven of survivors and leaves the Marine with them there. When the Marine wakes up, is when players take control... at a time when the survivors at the safe haven are approaching a time when they are either going to come together or fall apart and lose everything. The next episode is very ambitious, we have high expectations for it.
After this next episode we're going to build the next story around assaulting positions and finding new pockets of civilization with vehicles, because by then we will have the vehicles in the city drivable. If we can't have all the vehicles running by then, we'll at least have the willy jeeps and tanks moving and shooting.
My vision for ISR is a story about the nature of man in adversity. No character in ISR is good through and through. Everyone has a dark side. In this next episode expect a good story about how people clamor for leadership in the setting of post apocalyptic zombie world circa 1945. Get ready to shoot!
Thank you for continuing to follow ISR! Keep in touch!
Jake
And by the way if the game becomes really good and very playable i will give you guys a good rating perhaps a 10/10 rating but im a critic and somtimes the critic/customer is always right somtimes
Hey players!
This wasn't fair of me to do, but I did just delete a player's comment about the game. I did this because it was angry rather than constructive. However, that comment along with any and all comments left by players are being read and all carefully considered.
In the comment I deleted, the player did say he was very frustrated with his inability to save and problems with collision. In the release we are trucking away with now, both of these have been fixed. Our next release is MUCH better, has much longer gameplay, gives you the ability to save and connect more with NPCs. In a word, our next release is... BADASS. The release you have now is months old and has some problems, please be gentle!
If you have any comments about the game please reach out to us, we love feedback either good or bad. When we receive good feedback we are encouraged, when it's bad we challenge ourselves to better.
Thank you for your continued interest! Your support has made me one of the most successful people I know for my age. I'm 23, have no degree but I've made something here that's been played in over 50 countries, have been invited to red-carpet events, and I've been able to help preserve the memory of my buddy (Craig Hodges, Corporal USMC- you play as him in the prologue) in my own little way.
A little bit of our success has to do with me, my risk-taking + creative drive, a little bit of it was the work of the development team, but most of this has happened because of the great community of players here on DESURA!
Hell yeah players!
Thank you. Keep playing, and we'll keep creating!
Best,
Jake
PS! Does anyone hear a little ringing sound in the sound fx when the main character walks? Let us know if this is also happening on your computers.

I accept your challenge, understand you're gonna be hard pressed to break my neck 'cos I have the fighter's spirit and hands that move wicked fast : ) I'm sorry to hear you're having a rough time. We'd absolutely love it if you sent me an uncensored PM with all the things in the release you played that you thought needed fixing. Haha, I'm worried about those violent tendencies of yours but I love the passion. Keep in touch with us and we will guarantee a refund if you're not happy with our next release.
Best,
