Homeworld 2 continues the epic struggle of the Hiigarans and their leader Karan S'jet. Many thought their hardships would end when they returned to Hiigara, yet fate has not been so kind to the Exiles. Now the Hiigarans face a new and bitter enemy, a renegade clan from the eastern fringes of the galaxy, who wield the power of the ancients. Homeworld 2 chronicles the valiant journey of the Mothership and its crew into the oldest regions of the galaxy to confront their new foe and discover the truth behind their exile.

In my own personal way I liked how the game kept the strategic aspect of the original Homeworld 1 with added features such as the customizable modules. It has fantastic visual art and music that was right for this kind of game. Also the story itself seem to keep intact with the original and scripted sequences are done correctly.

However you must understand this game is true to it's RTS elements. There's still resource management and build allocation. This game isn't one of those easy-to-learn games. You require decent amount of thought before you can make your move. Unit commands are not limited to mere clicks, the ability to move 3 dimensionally in space gives more depth to tactics and change formation and behavior may force hardcore players to macroing.

Nevertheless don't be fooled by how visually stunning and strategic the game can get. You might find missions a little drawn out(slow paced) and multilayer hard to master (that is if there's any players there, most play the complex mod). But having said that the good thing is if you like RTS games or like good story telling this is one game you should definitely play.

Great game, real easy to get the hang of because of the built-in tutorial. Multiplayer isn't exactly what you would call active though.
But no game is perfect except halo. contains glitches some annoying glitches they don't really affect you all that much. if you want a solid RTS game this should keep you satisfied for quite a while.

A decent and good-looking game that lacks some of the charm of its predecessor.
