I see what you did there.
This is one of the best things about Valve, Gabe has no problem sitting down and interacting with steams community. How often do you see Bobby Kotick do anything similar?
I wonder if Bobby Kotick even knows what a community is, besides his definition of "crowd to get money from".
That is true but also a really dumb thing to say. If you can find another head of a publishing company that really sits down and interacts with the community, then compare him to Kotick. But Gabe Newell is a developer, I am not being an idiot I love Gabe Newell and his approach to gaming and the industry. Newell is from a developer, he interacts with the community to help create better games and a better community (plus he is cool), Kotick's job is business, to get the most money out of a product. And well, he is damn good at it.
He is damn good at it indeed, I'm kind of jealous D: Although I wouldn't want to trade my love for games for any amount of money.

Great interview, but to be honest, I dont give a flying *beep* about anything else but the next installment in the Half-Life series! I don't care one bit about Linux versions or Steam for mobile devices or anything else!

I cant say it was interesting interview, since Gabe actually dodged every single question about next Half-life installment, exactly as he said.
I didn't have time to listen to the whole thing... I have a question to who did. Did they ask about the distribution of mods on Steam, did they mention at all what Desura is doing and if they plan to add it to Steam as well? Would have been nice to hear their thoughts on Desura :)
