Our protagonist is a fan of Japanese anime and games. He makes friends with some Japanese people on the internet, and decides to stay with them for a week.

Thrilled by the prospect of a week's sightseeing in Japan, he touches down in the airport, only to discover that his new friends -- "Makoto" and "Akira" -- are actually a pair of attractive young sisters!

After their introductions, the protagonist arrives at their house to learn that no one else is there.
"Um... where are your parents?"
"Our parents were called out of town for two weeks on urgent business."
(In other words, the only ones in the house will be Makoto, Akira, and I? How is that going to work!?)

The local culture has some surprises in store on your first night there, but you'll soon head out on the town! Enjoy the date-like atmosphere as Makoto and Akira take you on a tour of famous sites. You'll marvel at the beauty and history of Japanese culture, fill up on local delicacies, and even share some thrilling moments.

Sorry to say that but i think game is not worth. I already finished it before so I know what Im saying. And that game cant compete with proper japanese visual novel.

- Game is very short, you will finish it in half day. Most of japanese VNs takes weeks to finish all routes.
- No Voices!
- Only 2 chararacters
- No deep story
- Information I gained about Japan after finishing the game was not very worth
- Girls only have one pose and small amount of CG pictures.

All i can say I expected more from game.

so you missed the all point of this "game". it's not a "proper" visual novel, but more a small touristic guide made by Japanese for foreigners, no point in making it all shiny whimey or paying a fortune to have voices. (no point in making a VN costing $100 like a normal one)
so except point 5, which is questionnable/depend on the "player", all others are irrelevants.

It's unfortunate that this game did not meet your expectations. However, one should note:

- The game may be short, but that's not to say that a short game can't be good. After all, Narcissu is also short, but is a true classic. Besides, the game is priced accordingly. You're not paying the same amount as you would for a 50+ hour game, for instance.

- It would have been nice to have voices, but to be honest, voices aren't necessarily all that important. There are loads of brilliant VNs that feature no voices at all. Consider the brilliant Ace Attorney series, for example.

- The quality of the story is arguable, but what I would say is that Go! Go! Nippon! is designed to be a travel guide to Japan. It's not meant to have an especially riveting story. If you want an exhilarating plot, there are other VNs that would do that job.

- I personally think that the game features a lot of interesting information about Japan, and am glad that I played the game. Of course, how interesting/useful one would find the information varies from player to player.

- The girls actually have quite a variety of poses, and a greater number of facial expressions, so I don't see this as a problem. I think there are a decent amount of CGs for the length of this game. Since this is a shorter VN, it is to be expected that there would be less CGs than in the average VN. Besides, there are hundred-hour VNs that only have one CG, so it's not completely outrageous at all, in my opinion.

If you don't think this game is worth it, then that's too bad. But I feel that it's definitely worth giving Go! Go! Nippon! a try.

I only wrote the facts and you are now trying to vindicate the game as much as you can. MangaGamer "fans" always vindicate their games even the quality is low.

IMHO the art alone is worth 10 bucks.
