Beneath the planet's surface, you have to cast aside your assumptions. Darkness is not your enemy, but Light's army is about to reduce your town to ash. In this 2D adventure game, take the role of Raven, an eleven year old girl, who learns that she is the key piece in stopping the inevitable destruction of her town. Now, she has to understand the unfolding events, struggle to solve the challenges facing her, and define herself through difficult choices that will have far-reaching consequences. As Raven, you will interact with multiple interesting characters, explore a beautiful fantasy world, make lasting decisions, learn Dark magic, and, if you are clever enough, gain infinite power.
I really liked Girl with a Heart of. Took me roughly four consecutive hours to finish and I think that's the way to do it - there's much to remember between each day so it's a bad idea to take a break. :)
I liked the setting and the story - felt quite unique and interesting. Very different from other fantasy settings. The characters were well portrayed, I think, and their stories and emotions were believable, which is incredibly important to me.
The best thing about the game was definitely that it forced you to think about what you said to people, since it could have real ramifications on the characters in the game. I withheld information from my mother because I wasn't sure if she could handle it, even though I really wanted to, for example.
The weak points of the game were [SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD] that there was quite a bit of walking and I tended to forget how to get to the different areas, and the endings that I saw were a bit unsatisfactory.
Nice game even if a little slow and moving between locations is tedious (and not very useful). The story was nice, the ramification of the choices are really cool and the ending possibilities are quite good. I wa s still a little bit disappointed by my end (only 1 image & 2 lines of text)...
Very nice concept, but that's all it feels like. If you get the heart of darkness, slap it on imbuing hen proceed to imbue the darkness repeatedly. End it by assigning the darkness to magic. The game is beatable in less than an hour.
