Conquest of Elysium 3 is an old school fantasy strategy game. You explore your surroundings conquer locations that provides the resources you need. Resources needed vary much depending on what character you are, e.g. the high priestess need places where she can gather human sacrifices, the baron needs places where tax can be collected and where iron can be mined. These resources can then be used for magic rituals and troop recruitments. The main differentiator for this game is the amount of features and special abilities that can be used.
The game can be played on Windows, Linux (x86 and raspberry pi) and Mac OSX (intel and powerpc).

Just preordered, can't wait!
A video where some one talks about the game would be good, like what they are doing and why. General gameplay info and such...
Just a thought.
Hope to get a Test Drive video up tomorrow. Will likely be about 30 minutes of game-play and gushing commentary. :)
Oh My!
Having played Dominions 2 and 3 as well as the predecessor CoE 2 till my eyes bled and my heart was full of bliss - this has been preordered!
Thank you Illwinter!
Pre-ordered! \o/
There is a new AAR up at the Shrapnel forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=48292
The AAR needs a reboot due to version change, but it's going forward with that premise on Tuesday morning. Just add the http to the URL, I don't know how to format links yet and haven't been here long enough to have them allowed.
The second AAR has been rebooted and is in full swing. As a bonus, the new version of the AAR displays some of the just added specials, including a doom horror.
Is there any chance of CoE3 coming to Steam? I'm going to buy it either way, but it's easier having all my games in one place. I think Steam would garner a lot of attention for CoE3 too, especially because it's a slow time of year for game releases.
Or is there a downside to Steam that Illwinter doesn't want to deal with? I just know some games from relatively unknown developers have made it really big on the platform
I do know that Steam is being considered along with others. But I wouldnt have a guess as to whether it will end up there.
We expect that a demo will be provided when the game is ready, but so far there is no word on the demo date. Illwinter has had a habit of finishing the game first, then pruning features from the finished product to make a demo.
