lol the game is not free... go buy it
SEGA took Relic Entertainment, remember the Total War series by Creative Assembly, now SEGA got two amazing RTS developers!
Yeah, that went quite a bit better than I expected :)
Was a bit disappointed with CA's Shogun 2, though. They really went a bit overboard with simplifying the game. But Rome looks quite good, and after CoH2 Relic should have some free capacities. Who know's, maybe we'll even get a new DoW soon?
I've got to concur there. As it stands, Sega has the two best RTS-Devs at hand, and it seems like I'll soon throw some money at them.
The only thing letdown to me in Shogun 2 is the graphic and crashes, i mean, the game runs pretty well, but at loading screen it crash after a battle. Hopefully Total War: Rome 2 would not be so heavy.
I cant find the thread but their was a whole thing about this on Relicnews forums. I don't remember every single detail, but one of the COH devs said the server was paid in full upfront for like 10 years or something. At least this is what I remember, if someone else could fill in the details or find the thread I am sure that would help our fellow here and put some concerns of others to rest.
Thanks, that's very reassuring. Also great that the guys at Relic took some precautions. A few years should be enough to sort out what happens to the licence^^
Anyway, i really hope Relic stays as a complete Developer, under whoever they will work in the future.
