Run installer and program in compatibility mode, worked for me.
this was released in 2006 so that mean's it works for patch 1.3 <duh
and bf2 1.5 has compatibility to work in it but it's still buggy

Er no, run in Administrator Mode and Compatibility Mode for Windows XP if you're using Windows Vista or 7.
Hi InSovietRussia, im having a problem starting the bf2 editor.
Installation went fine, but when i chose the selected mod i keep getting "DirectX version 9.0c or higher is required to run bf2. Please install DX9c and try again." But i have DX11?! My machine is 64-bit Windows 7, please respond ASAP.

scratch my other comment (sorry) i found the solution :D still a little buggy.....
I tried installing it then this message comes up saying "BF2 editor can only be installed on windowsXP" then it cancels the installment D:
Does it work for windows 7? (thats what my Asus laptop Gaming repucblic top of the line) i dont want to use my Apple Laptop for this

Sys I need DX9c...But I already a have it...anyone know why?
i cant load maps it gets to init con and makes a dump file
People that are having the program say you need DX9c, all you need to do is run the program in compability mode to windows XP (Service Pack 3) and run as admin... Hope that helped guys :)
