Antipodes is a rather unique game. Whilst being a regular two dimensional dig-em-up, it also branches off into being a side-scrolling platformer. With a heavy focus on vertical decent, the player is tasked to create a safe and prosperous way through the earth's many layers of indigenous rock-surface. Get deep into this adventure, if you get deep enough you will find your love!

  • Main title
  • Dig!
  • Buy items
  • Boss fights!
  • Use your Items wisely!
  • Are you willing to do whatever it takes?
  • Get deep into this adventure ;)

Dear antipoders of the world!

If you are reading this, then you probably remember me as Lorena Casanova, “Antipodes” developer. And this message is to introduce you my new project in case you haven’t heard about it yet: my new game...

Hey there, Antipoders!

First of all, thanks for your feedback and support. Many bugs have been reported since the game's (complicated) birth date, and all of them have already been fixed. Hurra for that!

So apparently a game that involves digging is automatically "unabashedly ripping off Minecraft or Terraria". First of all, apart from the digging, this isn't very much like those games, if anything it's more like a classic arcade game.

I played it for a bit and do have some good things to say: it has an old-school charm and is fun if you like retro games. The pixel art is very well done and enhances the feeling that you're playing an old DOS or arcade game. Anyone who makes a big deal about it not being original enough, well, if you really know your gaming history you'd know that 9 out of 10 games on here aren't all that original, not even Minecraft or Terraria.

I have to agree, not a single good thing to say. OK, so the game has digging and zombies. Your either unabashidly ripping of Terraria or Minecraft, with no intent to be origonal at all. It's not like my mind has anywhere else to go, as you have not even made the effor to fully explain all the features of your games. Unless of course I'm to be impressed enough to spend more than $2 on a game that looks about as complex as any flash platformer on newgrounds made in a day.

Again, most of this could be wrong, but it's not like you've made the effort.

You DO realize stuff on newgrounds made it to become multiplatform, multiselling hits right? the way you worded it suggested that if it looks like a newgrounds game then it is shite. I'm pretty sure many would disagree with you on that. You're entitled to your own views, but there is also the old saying of if you have nothing good or productive to say then don't say it at all.

It actually looks a lot more like Spelunky with digging than it does Terraria, to me at least.
