99 Levels to Hell is a platform shooter with lots of guns, upgrades, magic, traps and monsters to kill.
99 Levels to Hell is a rogue-like-like, which means surviving is key and every time you play you get a random selection of levels to play.
When you complete 10 levels, the 10th being a boss-fight you unlock a door to the next dungeon.
Hidden in the darkness of the dungeons are shops, casinos and elevators. And if you search the dungeons carefully, you might find secret rooms that unlock more of the story, and free new adventurers, you can play as in your next game.

I am enjoying the game a lot, but for some reason it causes my computer to automatically shut down after playing it for about 20-30 minutes. This can be extremely frustrating considering there is semipermadeath. That has never occurred during any program or game before. Do I simply have to wait for a game update?
It isn't working for me...every time I try to load the game, it will freeze on a black screen and say that it is not responding. Any reason for this?

Are you running it from the desura client? please update to the latest build.
The game tense to hang at the beginning, when it unpacks sound files so give it a minute to start :)
