Why is valkyerie edition so expensive, wow.

I finally bought the game( was looking after it for half a year) but it crashes in the begining! The windiw with a whae opens and then closes! D:

alpha build 10 is current build so before beta

What language are you guys programming SoR in? I am guessing java. I know a basic amount of java and a fair amount of C++.
Also, are you open to suggestions for code in AdvenGen?
